At #Hegemony, we use MetaTrader to facilitate our passive investment strategy. MetaTrader is the most popular Forex trading platform in the world. Along with Forex, they also provide access to the realm of Cryptocurrency trading, which is our specialty. This Tutorial will show you how to setup the MetaTrader platform through your selected brokerage.

Choose your brokerage (these are our favorite) and download their MT4 Client.

A setup file will be downloaded to your computer. Open the setup file, and follow the next 2 screenshots.

This is where you will setup your MetaTrader account, and link it to your brokerage account. Simply follow the next 3 screenshots. For the tutorial a demo account is used; feel free to create a demo account if you like. In picture 2, fill out your information, always change leverage to 1:25, subscribe to the newsletters (valuable), and click next. Lastly, click finish, and always save your log in information!

We look to DECREASE our risk, so we suggest using 1:25 leverage. This may require you to submit a support ticket on your brokerage, requesting they give you access to lower leverage levels. We HIGHLY recommend you follow these guidelines, as combining high leverage with high volatility is a recipe for disaster.

This step is only required if you are setting up a new account, or when setting up use for a new brokerage. First, within MetaTrader, click File -> Open Data Folder. Within the Data Folder, navigate into MQL4 -> Indicators. Then, find your copy of Monopoly Money and navigate into -> Indicators, and copy the .EX4 files into the Data Folder. Secondly, head back to the Data Folder and navigate to MQL4 -> Templates. In the Monopoly Money files, navigate into -> Templates, and copy the .tpl files into the Data Folder. Close both the Monopoly Money files as well as the Data Folder.

Re-open the MetaTrader client. Right click on any chart, hover over templates, and select Monopoly Money. That's it! Monopoly Money has been installed in your MetaTrader client and you're ready to go!
